Kletsky area is located in the southwest of Minsk region and occupies the territory of 1,0 thousand sq.km. Borders with Ljahovichsky, Gantsevichsky, Soligorsky, Kopylsky and Nesvizhsky areas.

General information about Kletsk:

Kletsk was created on a feudal castle place on high river bank of Lan. As the beginning of its biography is considered 1127 when the city already was the centre of a princedom as a part of the Turovo-Pinsky land. In some sources the city is mentioned as tribe capital of dregovichi. Kletsk has rich history, but because of frequent wars not a lot of monuments of architecture has remained. Now Kletsk - the small regional centre.
