The Maloritsky area settles down in the southwest of Brest region and occupies the territory of 1,4 thousand sq.km. Borders with Brestsky, Zhabinsky and Kobrinsky areas of Brest region and Ukraine. General information about Malorita: For the first time is mentioned in 1566 in the Certificate of audit of Berestejsky district as royal village Small Rita. In 1768-90 in natural boundary Rudnja the metallurgical manufactory and copper factory operated. In 1795 as a result of the 3d section of Rech Pospolitaya Malorita became a part of Russia. Since 1921 was in the structure of Poland, since 1939 – in BSSR. Since 1970 the settlement has received the city status. Transport communications in Malorita: The city is located in 58 km to the southeast from Brest. In the city there is a railway station on the line Brest – Kovel (Ukraine)
