Gantsevichi - city, the centre of Gantsevichsky area with the population of 14,8 thousand people

The Gantsevichsky area is in the northeast of Brest region and occupies the territory of 1,7 thousand sq.km. Borders with Ljahovichsky, Ivatsevichsky, Pinsky, Luninetsky areas of Brest region and Kletsky area of Minsk region.

General information about Gantsevichi:

From the second half of XIX-th century Gantsevichi are known as village of Slutsky district of Minsk province, possession of Chapsky. Gantsevichi have arisen at first as railway station on the road Vilnius - Lida - Baranovichi - Luninets opened in 1884. Later around the railway station was generated the city settlement with the same name. In the city low building prevails. As well as in other small cities of Belarus, basically the food-processing industry here is developed.

Are located on the river Tsna, in 252 km from Brest and in 205 km from Minsk. Railway station on the line Baranovichi-Polesskie - Luninets. Also Gantsevichi have a direct automobile communication with Kletsk and Logishin.
