Djatlovo - the centre of Djatlovsky area with the population of 8.2 thousand people Djatlovsky area is located in the southeast part of Grodno region in the river basin of Neman and occupies the territory of 1,5 thousand sq. km. The Djatlovsky area borders with Novogrudsky, Lidsky, Shchuchinsky, Mostovsky, Zelvensky and Slonimsky areas of Grodno region and Baranovichsky area of Brest region. General information about Djatlovo: In written sources Djatlovo for the first time is mentioned in 1440-1450 as a part of Troksky district under the name of Zdjatel. In 1498 the volost Zdjatel has been presented to the hetman of Grand duchy of the Lithuanian K.I.Ostrozhsky which constructed in the city in beginning ÕVI of a century the lock and church. Throughout several centuries the city actively developed. Subsequently the city belonged to the Russian empire, to Poland while in 1939 has not been included in the structure of BSSR. Today Djatlovo is the centre of tourism of national value. Transport communications in Djatlovo: The transport and geographical position of Djatlovo is enough convenient. Through the city passes the highway Lida - Slonim - Byten, here begins a highway of republican value Djatlovo - Novogrudok - Ljubcha.
