Gorodeya - settlement of city type in Nesvizhsky area of Minsk region with the population of 4.2 thousand people

Nesvizhsky area settles down in the southwest of Minsk region and occupies the territory of 0,9 thousand sq.km. Borders with Kletsky, Kopylsky, Stolbtsovsky, Korelichsky, Baranovichsky and Ljahovichsky areas.

General information about Gorodeya:

For the first time it is mentioned in 1530. Since 1575 there is the property of Radzivilly. In the XIX-th century is known as village under the name Mountain Gorodeya, the centre of volost of Novogrudsky district. With construction of the Moscow-Brest railway (1871) - station. At the time of the 1st world war was in a front strip; was called Zamirje. Since 1921 Gorodeya was a part of Poland, since 1939 - in BSSR, since 1940 - settlement of city type in the Nesvizhsky area, connected to railway station.
